Why I created the suitcase squad
I’ve heard so many stories from women over the years who’ve told me that they have no one to travel with, which is one of the reasons why I created the Suitcase Squad. A travel club that allows women to travel with me and other like minded female travelers and not have to worry about being alone or the pesky planning!

Since we started, The Suitcase Squad has grown into a recognized name in group travel, especially among women aged 40+. Our adventures have taken us to vibrant destinations, each thoughtfully crafted to provide a mix of adventure, culture, and community. Meet Captain Sandy
Hi, I’m Sandy aka “The Captain who travels” and I am a navigator, boat captain, travel writer and island girl born and raised and living in the Bahamas. An avid traveler, my career and escapades have taken me to all corners of the globe, spanning 5 continents and over 60 countries. I am passionate about sharing my love of solo travel and inspiring other women to get out and see the world. I created a travel club called The Suitcase Squad, a group of adventurous women over the age of 40 who love travelling and experiencing new things! We go on group trips around the world and the great thing is you can come SOLO! You don’t have to have anyone to travel with as these trips are designed to bring together like minded women! I hope we inspire you to travel deeper!
